Miss Jewel Taylor

She was the sweetest and faithfullest girl. Always gentle and kind and wanting to please. We could look at each other across the room and understand without words, because we had our own language together. She was loved by all who met her and she loved and remembered every one, but did have some favorites lol. She was my 3rd child, my heart, and guide in many things. I learned alot about life and myself from her. She was my service dog before I needed a service dog. She would notify not only me but others if your sugar was up. She worked in healthcare with me as a therapy dog and in nursing homes with no leash needed. She just knew how to approach people and would lay her head in their lap, once she jumped up on a patients bed and laid with them...it made the patients day. She taught me so much and we trusted each other implicitly. She even taught herself to get me to walk away from situations (despite my protests) before I started a panic attack, somehow she just knew. I wished my Jewels could of stayed forever. She went so suddenly and unexpectedly. I wasn't ready... but I never could of been ready. Jewels your bowl and bed are empty despite the other ones needing it, cause I'm not ready still. Your harness and beautiful fur are still in my car. Your collar is on my bed post and will always be in my heart. You were a BEAUTIFUL girl inside and out and you touched so many hearts and lives that there are still tears flowing and will be for awhile. You truly were a Jewel!
I'm glad you got to meet Charlie and help train him for the short time I had you both. He has some huge paws to fill! Sometimes,
I still feel your presence and I think i feel your head on my lap, it's both comforting and heartbreaking each time. I caught myself telling you to come while at the grocery store the other day but it was Charlie who came and he smiled at my tears, leaned into me and of course gently came as you would of. You may be gone but will never be forgotten. You were and always will be a Jewel! The perfect pup!
